O&M SCADA Technician for Global Operations SCS/WTG

Join us in this role where you’ll work with a wide variety of critical control systems, network infrastructure, and other supporting systems critical to the operation of a wind farm. As a part of the OT Engineering department, you’ll set the standards for cybersecurity and will be able to significantly expand your knowledge of SCADA and cybersecurity within OT.

You’ll be part of our OT Engineering department where you, together with your colleagues, will monitor and resolve incidents over general maintenance works, work with larger lifecycle projects, and set the strategies for performing world class operations and maintenance. Your team will have large focus on operating cybersecurity controls, ensuring continued cybersecurity of systems and compliance to reach the overall goal of keeping the lights on.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • supporting our sites by managing and following up on technical issues during operation to ensure integrity is maintained and that corrective actions are performed in the optimal way
  • ensuring cybersecurity controls are performed and operated according to policies
  • ensuring cybersecurity by proactively addressing issues and opportunities, and by supporting the organization in implementing new security capabilities
  • implementing complex functionality for the control systems, together with our sites and external suppliers
  • being responsible for supplier management regarding failure modes and upgrades
  • engaging actively with other parts of Global and Regional Operations on cross-departmental project.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a good SCADA and OT knowledge, possibly acquired through a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, software, or other relevant engineering branch
  • have experience of working in an operational OT environment with control systems and networks, preferably from leading wind power generation or substation automation companies
  • have experience with troubleshooting of control systems and networks
  • can mature and accelerate security risk assessments to continuously detect and manage vulnerabilities
  • are able to maintain and run cybersecurity operations services, frequently to be documented and evidenced for reliability and compliance obligations
  • are open-minded and ready to learn and perform in a dynamic and challenging area and embrace differences as a great contributor to the team.
