Modern Slavery Act

We're among the best performing energy companies for environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.


Ørsted is regularly assessed by rating agencies on our ESG performance. These ratings are used by investors as part of their investment decisions, and in choosing which companies to include in sustainable index funds. At Ørsted we're pleased to have best-in-class ESG ratings as a recognition of our sustainability effort.

In 2024, Ørsted was awarded the highest possible CDP rating for the sixth consecutive year, reaffirming our position as a global leader on climate action.

Global 100

Ninth place (overall)

For the eighth consecutive year, Ørsted has been recognised as one of the world’s 100 most sustainable companies in the Corporate Knights Global 100 ranking. For 2025, we rank no. 9 across all industries globally and no. 1 among energy companies.

MSCI ESG Ratings

Score AAA

In 2024, Ørsted received a rating of AAA (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment.

Ørsted ranked in the first decile among electric utilities and has maintained
'Prime' status in the ISS ESG Rating 2024.

Ecovadis

Score 78 out of 100

Ørsted awarded a Platinum medal for being in the top 1 % of companies assessed by EcoVadis in 2023.

Danish Institute for Human Rights

First place

Ørsted ranked fifth among 30 large Danish companies in the 2024 Human Rights Benchmark by the Danish Institute for Huan Rights and the EIRIS Foundation.

We pledge to prevent acts of modern slavery and human trafficking. Read the statements.


Each year since 2018, we've published a Modern Slavery Act statement for the previous financial year. The statements set out the steps Ørsted has taken to prevent acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring in its business and supply chain. Statements are provided for all UK entities in scope and Danish entities that are in scope due to their activities in the UK.
