Platform Reliability and Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d)

Imagine a future where you’re responsible for providing technical support and performance improving initiatives for the SGRE Direct Drive Platform

Join us in this role where you’ll support our Siemens Gamesa direct drive offshore wind farms with activities ranging from technical support to assets reliability projects. To support you in the daily work, you’ll be part of a highly skilled and innovative network of direct drive specialists constantly in search of new ways of improving our wind turbine performance. You’ll report to the Head of Fleet Support and for campaigns and projects, you’ll work together with the Fleet Support Platform Lead.

 

Welcome to Fleet Support Europe
You’ll be part of the WTG Platform Specialist team where you, together with your colleagues, will deliver WTG technical support and case escalation, facilitate regional knowledge sharing, and support reliability and maintenance projects increasing yield and reducing service costs. You’ll collaborate with the reliability and maintenance support team who’s in charge of three platforms: two WTG and one transmission asset. It consists of eight highly skilled senior and lead specialists, all of whom are working closely together with our site and regional stakeholders and a strong technical documentation team. In our team, you’ll find a collaborative and engaging culture with a strong focus on utilising talent and skills to create innovative solutions supporting our WTG`s operation.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • providing and ensuring safe working conditions for yourself and your colleagues by being part of our strong HSE culture
  • handling communication and technical support following our technical support escalation tool, providing support based on your own expertise and the network of colleagues in the organisation
  • driving or supporting reliability and maintenance improving projects in cooperation with our site and regional specialists
  • driving and developing our knowledge sharing tools and processes, performing training and knowledge transfer, facilitation, and preparation of meetings and projects
  • development of new initiatives and tools for increased WTG reliability, incl. monitoring and contributing to operations philosophy for parameter changes and remote operation procedures.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a higher engineering qualification or similar skills gained from extensive experience with offshore WTGs, specifically on the newer SGRE Direct Drive platform
  • have solid knowledge of maintenance management and WTG control systems, incl. project management within the offshore WTG industry
  • are a safety-focused individual with a strong safety behaviour
  • have an asset reliability mindset with a proactive approach to your tasks
  • speak and write English fluently and thrive in an international environment.
