Project Developer - Solar
Imagine a future where you hold a key position within our onshore development department and have significant contribution to our solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project success

Join us in this role where you’ll be part of our team developing solar projects and contributing to our continued pipeline development. You’ll hold a key position within the solar project development department, being responsible for the whole project development including budgeting, deliverables and schedules.
Welcome to Onshore UK
You’ll be part of the Project Development Solar team where you, together with your colleagues, will successfully expand and realise our solar projects and actively shape the future of the energy transition nationwide. Together we’re pursuing the goal of actively shaping the renewable energy future in the UK. We develop and acquire solar projects from small sub 50MW to large 740-1000MW projects. We deliver projects for consent and integrate them to the wider portfolio.
As a team, we work across many disciplines and drive project delivery, collaborating with multiple stakeholders. We constantly learn from our experiences and market best practice to add value to the company.
You’ll play an important role in:
- securing and developing a pipeline of energy projects, predominantly solar, in the UK
- working with project originators, grid engineers and GIS teams to bring projects from origination to development with high prospects for success
- working with commercial and M&A teams on opportunities in the market for development acquisitions
- developing project scopes, budgets and schedules for success on solar projects
- driving value and successful opportunities to take forward to consent and subsequent construction
- understanding the UK planning landscape for energy projects.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have several years of professional experience, preferably in project development, energy projects, or consultancy roles
- understand project management, be self-motivated and have strong work organisation skills
- are able to operate in a world of uncertainty whilst remaining focussed on goals and working toward them
- are communicative, collaborative and confident
- are flexible working in energy project development environments where the work scope can change.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
