Lead Business Controller

Imagine a future where you oversee the controlling and business partnering of offshore wind farms for the marker leader within offshore wind energy.

Join us in this role where you’ll play an active role in optimising our cost performance by providing financial insight to our Operations functions in offshore wind. The Offshore Operations Controlling team’s work is varied and includes both monthly reporting and annual forecasting as well as working closely with JV partners and internal stakeholders.

Welcome to Business Finance
You’ll be part of Offshore Operations Finance where you, together with your colleagues, will be part of a global Finance team working with the Operations team to drive down the operating costs and the Commercial teams to maximize the EBITDA of the portfolio. We offer a unique and varied role where you’ll work across the offshore portfolio and have every opportunity to develop your knowledge, competences, and skillset. You’ll be an integral part of a team with competent and committed colleagues who’ll support you along the way.

As a team, we collaborate very closely with our colleagues in Operations and Asset Management, share knowledge, learnings and support each other to succeed together

You’ll play an important role in:

  • being responsible for the monthly reporting and controlling for your own portfolio of offshore windfarms towards our internal stakeholders as well as external partners
  • creating the annual budget and providing input into reforecasting processes during the year for our internal stakeholders as well as external partners
  • partnering directly with senior management in Operations and Asset Management to guide their decision making by creating financial insights
  • assisting in the production and continuous improvement of monthly management information and working with stakeholders to maximize their understanding.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a master’s degree in accounting, controlling, or similar, ( ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified) as well as relevant experience dealing with controlling, budgeting, or forecasting, financial reporting, and other financial matters
  • are proactive and self-driven, challenging the status quo and continuously apply your can-do attitude to improve our business processes and deliverables
  • possess strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with an interest in IT systems to help develop new reports that provide more dynamic analyses
  • possess the ability to translate complex financial matters and developments into insights for our senior leadership team
  • thrive on cooperating closely with colleagues across a large and multicultural organization and enjoy working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and international organization.
  •  lead during times of change, mentor and support colleagues as well
