Hi! We’re Ørsted Ireland

Ørsted’s journey in Ireland began back in 2021. Today, we’ve over 100 staff based out of our Cork City offices. Our goal is to help Ireland halve its emissions by 2030 and transition to net-zero by 2050.

Our team works hard across a number of departments – from commercial, to finance, to project delivery, and many more. There’s something for everyone in Ørsted Ireland.

Pension
Employees can choose on start date of employment to become members of Ørsted’s pension scheme: Please see rates below:

Insurance

  • Corporate VHI plan for yourself and any dependants fully covered by Ørsted. All you’re required to pay is the BIK tax.
  • Death in service benefit: A lump sum benefit of three times your salary is payable in the event of your death.
  • Disability benefit: The scheme insures an income benefit of 75 % of your salary less the state disability benefit for a single person. Scheme rules apply.

Holiday

  • You’re entitled to 30 days of holiday annually plus public holidays. This is prorated based on start date.

Our projects in Ireland

Ørsted operates an onshore wind portfolio of 378 MW in Ireland across 21 wind farms. In addition, we’ve entered a partnership with the ESB to develop an offshore wind farm, with the potential to generate 5 GW of clean power. Also, 2024 saw us begin construction on our first solar farm – Garreenleen, Co. Carlow.
