Operations and technicians

Competency & Development Specialist

Imagine a future where you help shape the future workforce of offshore wind by driving and developing initiatives within learning, internal mobility, and onboarding.

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating and developing apprentice programs, managing structured training plans, and supporting aging workforce initiatives. You will work closely with colleagues in operations and Competency Management to support our strategic workforce plans and ensure that our employees have the right skills, opportunities, and career paths to grow with us.

Welcome to Operations Support
You’ll be part of Operations Support team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the highest standards of competency and development in our offshore wind operations.

As a team, we foster a proactive and collaborative culture, working together to achieve our operational goals and drive continuous improvement.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • coordinating and developing apprentice programs
  • managing and build structured training plans in collaboration with site managers, technicians, and educational institutions
  • supporting aging workforce initiatives by ensuring meaningful career paths and development opportunities for experienced employees nearing the later stages of their careers
  • developing and managing internal mobility frameworks to support employees in changing roles internally – both horizontally and vertically
  • developing and maintaining the onboarding experiences and training modules for key roles – such as technicians, team leads, and support staff
  • supporting the creation of clear career pathways by defining and implementing visible career progression tracks with associated competencies and development options.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience in HR, learning & development, or similar – ideally in a technical or operational setting
  • possess knowledge of the offshore wind sector, energy, or industrial workforce (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • have strong skills in structure, collaboration, and communication – with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions
  • have experience with apprenticeships, internal mobility, or training design (a plus, not a requirement)
  • have a passion for working close to the business and helping people grow in their roles.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
