Ørsted is regularly assessed by rating agencies on our environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance. These ratings are used by investors as part of their investment decisions. We are pleased to be rated among the best performing energy companies on ESG.

Global 100 is an index of the 100 most sustainable corporations in the world. As a Global 100 company, Ørsted represents the top 2% in the world on sustainability performance.


Score AAA
MSCI is a research-based ratings agency specialising in ESG ratings. Ørsted has the highest possible rating, AAA, which is awarded to firms with the best ability to manage industry-specific risks relative to their peers.


Score C
CDP is a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage environmental impacts. Ørsted’s first publicly CDP report was available in 2017. We aim to achieve an A rating.

SustainAlytics is a global leader in research and ratings, specifically measuring companies’ exposure to ESG risks and how well they manage them on a scale from 1-100. Ørsted is rated as outperformer among utilities and highest among direct peers.

GRESB assesses the sustainability performance of real estate and infrastructure assets worldwide, measured through ESG ratings. In 2018, Ørsted was named an infrastructure industry leader.

ISS Oekom provides corporate and country ESG research and ratings. Ørsted has been ranked in the top 3 out of 179 companies in the utilities sector.

The FTSE4Good Index Series measures the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices. Ørsted has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series.
