Ørsted Procurement is responsible for sourcing and purchasing billions worth of services and materials across the business. Our responsibility includes identifying sourcing needs, develop supplier strategies, negotiating contracts, driving the sourcing process and managing stakeholder and suppliers.

The journey. Hands-on strategic sourcing

The Procurement Career Programme is tailored to enable you to drive sourcing projects end-to-end, lead bid defence meetings to negotiate contracts, analyse spending and pursue new opportunities to optimise operations.

You’ll get insights into our core business and a comprehensive understanding of our procurement value chain. You’ll also get a personal development plan to ensure that you unfold your full potential.

You’ll do three rotations within Procurement across Ørsted. During one of these rotations, you should expect to be based at our Gentofte office in Denmark. You’ll be in charge of your own tasks and projects, and you’ll get to apply your expertise to influence decisions.

Deep skills. Formal training

To prepare you for at future as a Sourcing Manager, you need to build specialized skills within problem solving, project management, collaboration and influencing as well as negotiation tactics.

During the two-year journey, you will attend tailor-made courses. 
Programme rotations
  • 1. rotation - Procurement Academy
    The Procurement Academy is the training platform offered for development of specialist procurement skills. You’ll be introduced to the various skills required to perform efficient and strategic sourcing.

    Basic Negotiation and Preparations skills 

    The courses will give you the tools to identify what is negotiable in typical business situations as well as identifying ways to adjust communication styles to achieve agreement. 
  • 2. rotaion - Problem solving & communication
    The course will strengthen your ability to solve complex business problems and structure material to support decision making as well as train your communication and presentation skills.


    Negotiation Tactics 
    You’ll learn to use negotiation tactics like time control during a negotiation and to be aware of body language and tone of voice.
     
  • 3. rotation - Collaboration & project management
    The course will give you the tools to use an understanding of others and yourself to work more efficiently and strengthen project management skills as well as introduce you to strategic negotiation.
