Hi! We’re Ørsted Poland

Are you looking for an exciting professional opportunity in the rapidly growing renewable energy industry? Do you want to help grow Poland’s offshore wind capacity? We’re looking for the best candidates within IT, finance, and a growing list of other areas, including engineering and offshore operations, to help keep Europe’s greenest energy company in the forefront of the Polish renewables sector.

Join a major player in Polish offshore wind

Ørsted’s journey in Poland started in 1990, long before we had become the global green energy leader we are today. Three decades later, our office in Warsaw serves as a hub for company-wide financial services and IT development, maintenance, and operations. In recent years, we’ve grown rapidly, building a highly effective local team of more than 600 people, supporting Ørsted’s entire global footprint.

In 2021, Ørsted entered a joint venture agreement with PGE (Polish Energy Group), giving us a 50 % share in the upcoming Baltica 2 and 3 offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea. With a combined capacity of 2.5 GW, the project will be Poland’s largest offshore wind farm, giving Ørsted an important role in helping Poland meet its 11 GW offshore wind target. It also means that we’ll be looking to employ more and more people in a wide range of positions in what is now one of our fastest developing markets.

Working at Ørsted is one of the greatest professional experiences one can imagine – you have a feeling of serving a great purpose and contributing to one of the world’s most important current challenges – combating climate change.

Warsaw

Our modern office in the landmark Varso complex in central Warsaw boasts stunning views of the capital. It’s the base for all +750 of Ørsted’s employees in Poland.

Located next to Warsaw Central Station and the Varso Tower, our new office is well connected to the public transport network – and just 20-30 minutes from the Warsaw Chopin Airport by train. There are also plenty of bike parking spaces available, making cycling a good transport option. When completed, the Varso Tower will, at 230 metres, be the tallest building in the European Union; even taller than The Shard, the famous London skyscraper.

Roles at our Warsaw office span the following areas:

  • Finance and controlling
  • IT and digital
  • Procurement
  • Facility management
  • Human resources.

In future, we’ll also be recruiting for roles within administration, engineering and construction, operations and technicians, public affairs, regulatory and legal, and strategy and business development. We already have occasional opportunities for SCADA specialists and network engineers; these are listed under open positions along with other roles.

Ørsted’s Danish roots means that we put a high emphasis on mobile and flexible ways of working, excellent work-life balance, and a culture of openness where everyone can thrive, perform, and grow. On top of this, we care about our employees’ physical well-being, providing each person with an adjustable desk and access to fitness facilities.
