We exchange knowledge through approximately 100 climate partnerships. We cooperate with our partners to reduce their energy costs and CO2 emissions and to support investments in new renewable energy. For instance, in 2013, Egetæpper used 21% less energy than in 2006. Their total CO2 savings amount to what corresponds to the emission of 1,600 Danes in one year.
DONG Energy's climate partners range from companies such as Novo Nordisk and Daloon to KMD and Tivoli. In 2011, we entered into a partnership with the Danish carpet manufacturer, Egetæpper.
Together, we have managed to achieve the target of reducing both Egetæpper’s energy consumption and CO2 emissions with approximately 20% through energy saving projects. We achieved this target in 2013, one year ahead of schedule. Furthermore, the savings have been invested in renewable energy through offshore wind from Horns Rev 2.
To further build on this success, we renewed the partnership with Egetæpper in 2014. One of the targets we have set is to reduce Egetæpper’s energy consumption and CO2 by 50% by 2020 compared with 2006.

Through the climate partnerships, we build strong relationships with important business customers. We work through common values to use less energy and help transform the energy supply to more renewable energy.
