With a brand new three-year partnership agreement, DONG Energy supports both the Sport Confederation of Denmark's activities in the local athletics associations and the preparations for the 2016 Olympics in Rio and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Jakob Askou Bøss, who is responsible for Stakeholder Relations in DONG Energy, said: "Denmark has a number of promising Olympic athletes and at DONG Energy, we're proud to be able to help the Olympic athletes on their way towards a hopefully successful Rio Olympics."
Gaining knowledge from the world of sports
Through this partnership, DONG Energy will draw on the extensive knowledge that exists within the world of sports on health, teamwork and top performances, and the partnership will support a large internal health programme aimed at employees, managers, directors and management talents in DONG Energy.
Bøss elaborated: "We've just launched a major health programme, focusing on giving our employees the opportunity of living a healthy life through exercise, diet, sleep and mental balance. Through our cooperation with Team Danmark and the Sports Confederation of Denmark, we're able to draw on a number of the strong competences within the sports world which can help us create inspiration for the activities we're launching for our employees, managers and management talents."
High ambitions towards the Olympics
Niels Nygaard, President of the Sports Confederation of Denmark and therefore also President of the National Olympic Committee and, said:
