Annie Lykke Gregersen has been appointed Managing Director of the German energy company Ener-gie und Wasser Lübeck GmbH (EWL) as at 1 April. DONG owns approx. 25 per cent of EWL's share capital.
She will be working alongside the company's other Managing Director, Kurt Kuhn, and will have spe-cial responsibility for technology and general business processes. Before being appointed Managing Director of DONG's German subsidiary, DONG Germany, on 1 January 2005 Annie Lykke Gregersen was General Manager of the hearing healthcare producer GN ReSound GmbH. "I am delighted that Annie Lykke Gregersen has accepted the job. With her long experience within management of business processes as well as marketing and communication I am sure that she will contribute positively to the future development of EWL," says Kurt Bligaard Pedersen, Executive Vice President of DONG.
On a day-to-day basis, Annie Lykke Gregersen will be functioning as the liaison between EWL and DONG and she will be one of the few female senior executives in Germany.
DONG acquired a 25.1% stake in EWL in December 2004 as part of a long-term strategic partnership with Stadtwerke Lübeck, the owner of EWL up till then. In that connection an agreement was also made concerning various areas such as an energy portfolio agreement, cooperation on renewable en-ergy and the establishment of a jointly owned energy company, 'e.nord', which will be marketing and selling gas, electricity and services in Germany. "The appointment of Annie Lykke Gregersen should be viewed as yet another step in the strategic partnership between DONG and Stadtwerke Lübeck. The appointment has been made in order to pre-pare the Group optimally for future assignments and challenges," says Kurt Huhn, Managing Director, who is also Managing Director of Stadtwerke Lübeck.
