Welcome to Financial Accounting & Controlling
You’ll be part of Financial Accounting APAC, US Support, DE and Nordic team where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for delivering standardised, high quality, and timely accounting and reporting products within FAC.
As a team, we create a workplace culture centred around teamwork and development through close collaboration with our colleagues and stakeholders within and outside of the FAC department.
You’ll play an important role in:
- preparing appropriate financial adjustment journals and reconciling your entities’ accounts with respect to period-end close deadlines
- drafting full sets of local financial statements and working in continual close collaboration with our other service delivery team in FAC, Financial Controlling
- engaging with our external auditors, taking responsibility, and leading during our audit cycle through strong communication and relevant, adequate audit documentation
- reporting on highly complex legal entities for group reporting purposes (IFRS) and maintaining a high-quality control environment
- driving the continuous optimisation of financial reporting processes, specifically in connection with month-end and reporting systems with involvement in ad hoc projects
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, controlling, or similar (ACA-qualified) and are fluent in written and spoken English
- possess subject matter expertise in financial reporting, supported by substantial and relevant experience gained within either a public accounting firm or the controlling department of an international company, with comprehensive knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP
- demonstrates proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and has experience working with financial accounting ERPs such as SAP and Hyperion. Familiarity with other reporting software such as One Source and Cadency is an advantage
- take an analytical and logical approach to issues and challenge the status quo in a constructive and communicate manner with a drive towards continuous improvement
- are results-oriented and set visible and relevant goals for your tasks and are a problem-solver with a positive can-do attitude. Experience in supporting or managing Nordic accounts in a similar role, would be considered an advantage
- thrive in a changing environment, take responsibility, are a self-starter, collaborate openly and constructively and enjoy working with colleagues across teams and national borders
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
