At Ørsted, partnerships are an essential part of our business model, as we want to encourage learning and build opportunities. We focus on a portfolio of a select few long-term partnerships. Our partnership agreements are in some way related to energy; either literally - such as educational material or exhibitions on energy - or in a more figurative sense.

 

WWF World Wildlife Fund

We’ve joined forces with WWF, World Wildlife Fund, Denmark, in our fight against climate change.
One of our initiatives is to engage children and young people in building the green society of tomorrow. An example of this was to hold the Climate Safari event in Copenhagen, Denmark, where 35,000 schoolchildren and young adults learned how to help fight climate change.

Olympic Partnership

As national Olympic Partner, Ørsted supports the Danish Olympic participants. This cooperation with the Sports Confederation of Denmark and Team Denmark gives us access to a unique knowledge, a number of specialist competences and resources within elite sports.

Experimentarium

The ’Energy Zone’ exhibition at the Experimentarium has been developed in close cooperation with Ørsted.

 

Ørsted and Experimentarium want to encourage children and adults to learn about energy production and consumption. In the 'Energy Zone', you can explore the origins of energy and feel the forces in play on your own body.

LEGOLAND®

Ørsted and LEGOLAND® work together on displaying part of a wind farm in Miniland.

 

Here, you can read and hear about the different projects which are to ensure clean and reliable energy to our customers. LEGOLAND is a good launch pad for play and learning about energy for children and adults. Through play, children will get a better understanding of energy and from where it originates.

The Natural History Museum

Ørsted has a long-term partnership with the Natural History Museum in London. We sponsor the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, which features the best images from the world’s most talented wildlife photographers. The exhibition showcases the beauty of the planet we call home and the wildlife that inhabits it, while raising awareness of the threats to the natural world. We also support the Generate: Scientists of the Future programme, helping to shape schoolchildren’s attitudes to and aspirations in science.

Sponsorship policy

Ørsted’s vision is to create a world that runs entirely on green energy. Through our sponsorship policy, we aim to support progress towards our vision and to promote awareness and education regarding sustainability, or represent value to the local communities in which we do business. In addition, we also sponsor broader social and charitable initiatives that create a positive societal impact.

Ørsted receives many applications for sponsorships and donations, and we‘re only able to accommodate a small fraction of the requests we receive.

As a matter of principle, we do not enter into sponsorship agreements with political parties, organisations, campaigns or candidates, religious purposes or individual persons. When operating in local communities, we cannot, as a matter of principle, support purposes where local government officials or negotiation partners have private interests.
