We’ll offer you an intensive two-year learning journey that will allow you to develop your talent and skills, enabling you to play your part in creating a world that runs entirely on green energy.
Step closer to a career with a purpose
This is a development programme for new graduates who want to step into a fun and challenging role within their field and embark on an intense learning journey. Through our programme, we aim to forge a network of future leaders and specialists who’ll shape Ørsted’s journey to becoming a true catalyst of change for a greener future.
To qualify for the two-year programme, you’ll have graduated with good credentials and have a bachelor’s, master’s, or equivalent degree in business, finance, law, procurement, engineering, science, IT, or another related field.
If this sounds like you, simply apply for one of our graduate positions advertised online. If you’re accepted into the programme, you’ll have the unique opportunity of working in three different teams at Ørsted, giving you the chance to work on several projects to build your experience and knowledge.
When you’re hired as part of the graduate programme, you’re hired on a permanent employment contract from day one. Find out more in the How to apply section.
Our 2024 graduate recruitment is closed. The 2025 program will be open for applications in November 2024.
You’re not chosen as a graduate – you’re hired for a career!
As a journey designed to develop your skills and expertise, this renewable energy graduate programme offers structured development as well as extensive learning and networking opportunities.
During your rotations, you’ll work with subject matter experts on real projects and tasks while receiving training on the go.
You’ll meet and interact with your fellow graduates and build a strong network across the organisation as well as with other experts within your field.
For some positions, rotating abroad may also be a possibility, giving you an opportunity to live and work in another country for eight months.
The programme is designed to boost your learning and development within these two areas:
Business experience
This is the backbone of your learning and development, where you’ll apply your expertise to influence day-to-day business decisions. You’ll build your capabilities through the rotations, get involved in international project work, and take real responsibility from day one.
Networking
You’ll have a senior career mentor and a buddy, who’ll help you make the most of your talent. Throughout the programme, you’ll participate in development sessions with your mentor, buddy, and fellow graduates to support your on-the-job learning. Your mentor will guide, encourage, and challenge you to increase your awareness of your strengths.
Shared learning journey
As a graduate, you’ll also have the opportunity to undertake various modules with your global cohort, both face-to-face and virtually. These modules will provide a platform for you to further develop your understanding of our business and industry as well as opportunities for you to develop critical, transferable skills. They’ll also allow for networking with the rest of your graduate cohort and other global colleagues.
Choose your career
The programme offers opportunities in four different professional fields where you can build on your specific background and interests.
What you’ll need to apply:

We’ll carefully screen all applications, looking for academic achievements, motivation, and mindset. You’ll always hear back from us regardless of the outcome of your application.
- Assessment
If you pass the initial screening round, you’ll be invited to a video assessment, and, if successful, you’ll be invited to the virtual Ørsted Global Graduate Assessment Days. During the assessment process, we’ll focus on your achievements, your expectations of the programme, and how you can make a positive impact at Ørsted. The video assessment will be used to supplement the information you give us in your application and at the assessment days.
- Timeline and important dates
Due to the number of applications we receive and the various stages of the assessment process, the graduate recruitment process has longer deadlines than a standard recruitment. We expect all candidates to have been chosen in March 2025.
The virtual assessment days will take place on 26-27 February 2025.
