Head of Strategy Execution and Projects

Join us in this role where you'll lead our Strategy Execution and Projects team and help strengthen the enterprise-wide deployment of Ørsted's highest strategic priorities. You'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, partnering closely with senior leaders to translate strategic ambitions into actionable programmes and projects that create lasting business impact across the organisation.
Welcome to Strategy Execution and Transformation
You'll be part of Strategy Execution and Transformation, where you'll join a team of experienced strategy, transformation, and consulting professionals responsible for supporting the development, deployment, and execution of Ørsted's strategy. The department is part of Strategy, Innovation and Transformation and works closely with colleagues across Group Strategy, Portfolio Management, Innovation, Finance, People & Culture, Communications.
As Head of Strategy Execution and Projects, you'll lead a team responsible for driving strategy deployment across Ørsted and delivering strategic initiatives that support our long-term ambitions. You'll also play an active role in the leadership team of Strategy Execution and Transformation, helping shape priorities, strengthen collaboration across teams, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with Ørsted's leadership promises.
You'll play an important role in:
- leading, developing, and empowering a high-performing team while building core capabilities and fostering a collaborative culture
- owning and continuously improving the annual strategy cycle, ensuring effective collaboration across Strategy, Finance, People & Culture, Communications, and the business areas
- ensuring that Ørsted's highest strategic priorities are translated into clear multi-year business plans, objectives, and execution roadmaps
- partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation to identify, prioritise, and deliver strategic initiatives with measurable business impact
- providing strategic guidance on business cases, strategic assessments, implementation planning, and value realisation
- leading selected enterprise-critical projects and initiatives to secure successful outcomes and sustainable results.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a strong track record of leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams
- bring significant experience from strategy consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, or a similar strategic leadership environment
- demonstrate strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities, enabling you to translate complexity into clear recommendations and actions
- build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across functions and business areas
- communicate clearly and confidently, adapting your message to different audiences and influencing decision-making at executive level
- hold a master’s degree within business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience from the energy or renewable industry is beneficial but not required.

Position salary range:
For this position, the expected base pay range is kr85,200.00- kr127,800.00 for the advertised location. The offered base salary will be determined within this range based on relevant skills, experience, and expected role fulfilment within the stated pay range to ensure a fair and competitive offer. Where applicable, you may also be eligible for variable payment and a comprehensive benefits package.
