Elsam and DONG Energy announces early result of consent solicitation to exchange its existing bonds for new DONG Energy securities
Elsam A/S announces initial results following the Early Consent Deadline of 4 May 2006 of its offers to exchange, by way of a consent solicitation, any and all of its outstanding EUR300 MM Floating Rate Notes due 2007 (ISIN XS0194213764) and EUR 500 MM 4.625% Notes due 2011 (ISIN XS0194214143) into new securities issued by DONG Energy A/S (formerly DONG A/S), launched on 20 April 2006. Elsam has obtained irrevocable consents in favour of the proposal in excess of 75% of the outstanding principal of each of the Elsam notes due 2007 and 2011.
The Consent Solicitation will expire at 11.00 a.m. (London time) on 11 May 2006 and the bondholder meetings will take place on 15 May 2006.
