DONG Energy's gas storage facility in Stenlille struck by lightning
A lightning strike triggered a fire alarm at DONG Energy's gas storage facility in Stenlille near Sorø just after 2am last night. The lightning caused a technical fault in the alarm system that alerted police and fire services from Sorø.
However, it was a simple question of minor technical problems, and the alarm was quickly called off, allowing both police and fire services to return to base. There was no danger to either human life or equipment at any time, and the gas storage facility continued operating normally.
