Technical Project Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the Generation Requirements management process, gathering and analysing requirements for new windfarms. You’ll be working closely together with subject matter experts to ensure that requirements are well-defined, documented, and understood ensuring we are learning from our real-time experiences to maximise value of our assets over the long-term.

You’ll be part of Generation where you, together with your colleagues, will perate globally with team members located across Europe, APAC, and the US. The team is a mix of skilled project managers with an ‘owner’s engineer’ mindset, working across a complex stakeholder landscape to deliver value for Ørsted in the full life cycle of our assets.

As a team, we collaborate to foster commercial transformation, share expertise, and drive continuous improvement across generation projects, with a focus on development and investment efficiency.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • embedding best practices for operational readiness and managing delivery of Generation requirements through the "Design to Operate" frameworks
  • assessing and integrating lessons learned into EPC and Generation processes, ensuring continuous improvement
  • supporting requirements quantification, identifying gaps, and working closely with stakeholders to mitigate risks and enhance value for the lifetime of the assets
  • translating business requirements and technical input into contractual language and specifications
  • performing validation of requirements
  • manage changes to requirements throughout the development, engineering, procurement, construction and operations phases.

To succeed in the role, you: 

  • hold an MSc in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
  • have commercial experience, including negotiation, contract management, and business case development
  • possess knowledge of common regulations and requirements within the offshore wind industry
  • bring proven change management experience in a global, complex environment
  • exhibit excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills to facilitate technical and commercial discussions between stakeholders, while driving alignment and being able to explain complex requirements clearly.
