Pioneer green growth at a global centre of excellence

Are you a professional with a global mindset and a background in IT, QHSE, Finance, HR, or Communications? Join our Malaysian base in Kuala Lumpur, and you’ll find a skilled international team working on challenging tasks to lead the global green energy transition.

Operating since 2010, our Malaysian office has grown from a small team of three software developers to a hub of more than 700 colleagues with a broad scope across the global organisation. Still predominantly specialising in IT and digital services, we work closely with our colleagues in Denmark and Northern Europe to create pioneering IT solutions, supporting BioEnergy, Offshore, Group, and Business Services. Using a wide variety of tools from Sharepoint, .Net, GIS, and SAP, we’ve built a strong foundation as Ørsted’s global IT centre of excellence. But we’re proud to be developing broader specialisms in the Kuala Lumpur office, including:

Facilities and QHSE

Our facilities team form part of Global Real Estate & Workplace Management. Here we support the global growth of the organisation through long-term global facility planning. We’re responsible for applying internal management, compliance, and CSR standards globally and improving cost efficiency through global leverage, transparence, and control. QHSE is a vital part of Ørsted’s vision for a world that runs entirely on green energy, where we protect our people and assets, drive efficiency, and support our sustainable ambition. In QHSE we support Ørsted’s ‘One Company’ initiative to document and standardise our processes globally and transparently, supporting our global growth and ensuring our continued commitment to meeting our ambition for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Finance and controlling

Ørsted Business Services (ØBS) APAC, which is part of Finance and Global ØBS, provides high quality and efficient financial services and advice across Ørsted. ØBS APAC was established in Malaysia sometime in 2019 and consists of two functions:

  1. Financial Services (FS) administrate vendor payments, expenses, master data, and vendor reconciliation.
  2. Global People Services (GPS) administrate payroll process and support.

The cross-functional organisation was established in June 2017 to support the entire business with financial services and Global People Services.

Human resources

Our local team is part of the global Human Resources organisation (known internally as People & Development). We deliver through one global P&D team acting as a Guardian, Partner, Change Agent, and Talent Provider to the business. We’re creating an environment where everyone can thrive, perform, and grow together.

Marketing, branding, and communication

We have a team that is part of the Ørsted IT Information Support department, responsible for strengthening our graphical appearances and developing graphical concepts for various campaigns across IT.
