Head of Site Operations for the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farm

Join us in this role where you’ll be overall responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farm. The business is currently ramping up the construction of the wind farm to ensure that it will become operational in 2022, and until then youll become part of a strong ramp-up team responsible for building the site operations organization. 

Welcome to Operations Asia-Pacific 

You’ll be part of Site Operations for the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farm. The site operations will be shared with a team based in the coming onshore O&M facility and teams based offshore at our coming Service Operations Vessel (SOV), with a rotation of teams occurring every two weeks. The onshore and offshore teams will collaborate closely to ensure optimal planning and execution of maintenance tasks – with the common of objectives of safety, yield, and cost. In your role as Head of Site Operations, youll report to the Head of APAC Operations. 

You’ll play an important role in:  

  • taking accountability for a strong and proactive QHSE culture by ensuring a constant focus on developing, maintaining, and improving QHSE standards on site 
  • being overall responsible for planning, directing, and managing the operational performance of the site, i.e. taking responsibility for annual site budget, cost control, resource planning, and logistics 
  • taking responsibility for collaboration across the wider Global Operations business related to the site, including execution of tasks and works initiated by the Operations support functions 
  • ensuring that all site activities are timely planned for execution on site, i.e. utilization of vessel capacity as well as planning of tools, spares, and resources 
  • taking execution responsibility for obligations and commitment towards suppliers and other commercial partnerships, i.e. site management of contractors and other service agreements 
  • being overall responsible for all aspects of people development among the site staff. 

To succeed in the role, you:  

  • have extensive experience in operational management of power plants, utilities, or similar – preferably combined with having managed business in offshore operations 
  • have general management experience with leading larger teams or organizations, including strong people management skills 
  • possess skills related to commercial and financial management of a business or department, including budget creation and control 
  • possess skills related to stakeholder management and contract negotiation with suppliers and contractors 
  • have experience with QHSE operational processes and have worked with change management to continuously seek improvements being implemented in an operational business 
  • possess leadership skills that enable you to balance and optimize both internal and external engagement with the site.
