Commercial Manager for US offshore wind development projects

Join us and become Senior or Lead Commercial Manager in the Commercial Department of our US organization, where you’ll be involved in the project management of one or more of our US offshore wind development projects. In the US Commercial and Asset Management department, you’ll be part of a team that takes responsibility for managing all commercial affairs across our US offshore wind portfolio.
Your key tasks will be to
help develop the project business case and manage commercial risks by aligning internal teams working on areas such as budgeting, revenue forecasting, structuring, business case analysis, land & property, and preparation for future operations with the ultimate goal of achieving a successful final investment decision
coordinate with internal project and corporate stakeholders to manage the financial model, and communicate important financial metrics and indicators to internal stakeholders
lead commercial aspects of the preparation of competitive bids for project revenue opportunities, including recommending pricing strategies and local content opportunities, in close coordination with internal project and corporate stakeholders
negotiate beneficial agreements between the project and external counterparties to help mature and de-risk the project and prepare the commercial documentation necessary to support a successful final investment decision
report on project progress, both internally to senior management and to external partners and key stakeholders.
Additionally, you’ll work with senior external and internal stakeholders to drive overall optimization and maturation of the projects, and you’ll play a key role in solving additional ad hoc challenges of a commercial nature that arise during the development of our offshore wind projects.
Your competences include that you
have a degree in finance, economics, business administration, or law
have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to identify and communicate possible trade-offs and the balance of risk and reward
can effectively communicate complicated commercial concepts, both written and in-person, with the appropriate degree of substance and nuance for various internal and external stakeholders
have significant experience from commercial or financial roles in industries such as energy, infrastructure, real estate development, or other relevant industries. A background in corporate finance or management consulting would also be relevant
have solid project management abilities, including the ability to plan and report effectively, build consensus, secure commitments, and thrive in a culture of accountability.
You should also be able to successfully navigate in a large organization and work flexibly and cross-functionally outside of established processes or structures. You must be solution-oriented, good at managing stakeholders, and able to take initiative across a wide variety of tasks.

Depending on your seniority and fit for the role, you’ll be employed as a Senior or Lead Commercial Manager.
You should expect some traveling in relation to your work, primarily within the US, but occasionally also overseas to Europe. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
