That is why we created Space Safari, a 360° VR project. We believe that if more people could see the world like astronauts do, it would create a greater sense of responsibility for our shared home and speed up green action.
When astronauts take their first look back at our home, planet Earth, from space they often experience what is termed the “overview effect”— the psychological shift that happens when you suddenly see your planet Earth from afar.
The overview effect often inspires a greater sense of self-awareness as astronauts look back at planet Earth, seeing it for the first time as a vulnerable dot floating through space. They report a greater sense of Earth as a fragile and beautiful system, and a renewed sense of responsibility to preserve and maintain our shared home.
With 360° VR Space Safari, we can bring everyone closer to the experience of the “overview effect”. We can’t send all earthlings into space, but with Space Safari we can get you as close as possible while on Earth.
