Manager, Partnerships and M&A

Join us in this role where you’ll support the execution of Commercial Partnership and M&A transactions, as well as investment approvals in alignment with our strategic objectives. In this role, you’ll work in a collaborative environment with various internal and external stakeholders to support Partnerships and M&A primarily focused on the US but with opportunities more globally across various renewable energy technologies.

You’ll be part of Partnerships and M&A Americas where you, together with your colleagues, will support our business by playing a key role in driving the structuring, execution, and negotiations on partnership opportunities and M&A transactions. As part of these transactions, you'll join motivated and diverse teams working in a collaborative environment across various departments, incl. Legal, Asset Management, Finance, and Engineering, etc., which creates opportunities to learn and grow in your career and understand various parts of the business and projects. You’ll play an important role in:

  • supporting the execution and closing of partnership and M&A transactions, with particular focus on helping lead key workstreams related to the structuring and execution of those opportunities
  • leading and overseeing due diligence workstreams across internal functional groups while working alongside potential investors, third party financing parties, and advisors
  • building presentation materials for senior leadership that effectively communicate the results and key findings of each transaction along with Investment Committee and Board of Directors materials
  • proactively identifying key value drivers, binary transaction issues, and proposing solutions to de-risk transactions and optimize value to our organisation
  • maintaining and fostering external relationships with investors, advisors, and peers for constantly improving our standing in the industry.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have at least three years of experience in finance or M&A, with demonstrated experience in utility-scale wind or solar projects and transactional execution experience
  • are comfortable working with different financial models, discounted cash flow valuation, project finance, tax, and accounting
  • have superior analytical skills and experience preparing presentation materials for executive leadership teams
  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that create results through teamwork and develop positive relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders
  • are a self-starter and have the ability to independently execute at a high level and accomplish tasks with minimum oversight.
