Application Manager

Imagine a future where you manage permit activities for our biggest offshore wind project in Korea

Join us in this role where you’ll be involved in a range of environmental and permitting topics to support ongoing environmental impact assessment (EIA) activities and other permitting processes in relation to offshore wind projects. This will include working with external partners in Korea, as well as internal colleagues in the APAC region and Europe, and assisting in consultations with local authorities and interest organisations.

Welcome to APAC Project Development & Programmes (APAC PD)
You’ll be part of APAC Environment & Permitting under APAC PD where you, together with your colleagues, will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external specialists on technical, engineering, and other related subjects. At present, APAC PD focuses on developing competitive offshore wind projects and wind farm constructions. Together, we manage the EIA and consenting processes to ensure they’re in place on deadline. As a team, we’re ambitious, with a great energy and an informal work culture, and we highly encourage a learning mindset and an original approach to new projects.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • providing task and administrative support to the consent manager on the permit programme for the ongoing or new offshore wind farm project, e.g., assisting with planning and coordinating deliverables
  • coordinating with internal stakeholders and ensuring that necessary input for the consenting process is received in due time
  • supporting and collaborating with the consent manager in discussions with external stakeholders related to the permits process, incl. leading discussions with certain organisations, groups, and authorities
  • liaising with local consultants and contractors for in-country service delivery, e.g., the delivery of permit-related reports.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have obtained a university degree or higher in business, science, law, policy, or engineering
  • have in-depth knowledge of, and experience with, offshore and coastal permitting processes for offshore wind farms in South Korea
  • have experience delivering consenting work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in high-pressure environments
  • have strong planning and organisational skills and have experience with governmental and authority offshore and coastal permitting and agreement processes in South Korea
  • are willing to work flexibly across a range of tasks and deliverables related to permitting, with a strong ability to balance competing priorities and work streams
  • are fluent in Korean and have strong communication and negotiation skills in Korean and English.
