Onshore wind is an unlimited and renewable source of clean energy with a vital role to play in the global shift to green energy.

As a green energy leader, Ørsted partners with industry leaders to deliver cost-effective and environmentally sound onshore solutions that meet the growing demand for clean, renewable power.

Our onshore wind business consists of assets across the US and Europe, where we currently have 3.8 GW in operation and under construction.

As well as providing green energy to people, our onshore wind projects create jobs and economic benefits in the local communities where they’re located.

The future of onshore wind


The future looks bright for onshore wind. Thanks to new technologies and increasing demand, solar and wind power are cheaper than fossil-fuel power in two thirds of the world.

By 2030, we aim to have 11-13 GW of onshore wind, solar, and storage capacity across our markets, while growing our portfolio towards a wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity mix.
